Today we are going to prepare a delicious sweet. A compact cake imported from America. Its preparation is easy, and the result, if prepared correctly, is very tasty. For all these reasons, the brownie is well known in Spain, manufactured in patisseries and served in restaurants throughout the country. Chocolate, egg and flour will not be missing in this recipe. However, it will not rise as biscuits do, nor are we going to add chemical yeast for baking. Thus, it will be dense, and all the flavour will be concentrated. So we will see the complete elaboration of the chocolate brownie with nuts.

Ingredients for 8 people:

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 200g of butter
  • 150g sugar
  • Three eggs
  • 125g of flour
  • 125g chopped walnuts
  • One tablespoon of vanilla essence

Chocolate brownie recipe with walnuts:

1.- In a small saucepan, place the chocolate and butter, cut into small pieces. We heat it in a water bath and let it melt for 5 minutes, occasionally stirring with a spatula until everything has completely melted. Remove from the heat and let it cool down a bit.

2.- Add the eggs and sugar to a large bowl and beat with a whisk until the mixture is completely homogeneous. Once this is done, add the chocolate and butter mixture to the bowl and the tablespoon of vanilla essence and mix everything again.

3.- When we have a homogeneous mass, put a strainer over the bowl; on it, we pour the flour, sift it, add the partially crushed walnuts and mix all the ingredients.

4- We spread a mould for desserts with a little butter, trying to paint its entire surface. The mould is better if it is square and has to be wide enough to have a layer of dough about 3 or 4cm thick. We also sprinkle a little flour. With this, we seek that, when unmolding the brownie, it does not stick to us and comes out easily.

5.- Now, we are going to pour the dough into the mould. Then we put it in the oven and let it cook at 180ºC for 25 minutes. After that time, puncture the brownie with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the chocolate walnut brownie is done, and we can take it out.

6-When it cools completely. We can unmold our chocolate brownie with nuts, which will be ready to taste.

Chocolate and mascarpone cheese cups recipe

On this occasion, we have chosen to make a dessert. Specifically, a few cups of chocolate and mascarpone. This sweet recipe is easier and more fun to make than it seems. We are going to separate the ingredients into different layers. Thus, we will have a bite of authentic pleasure when mixed in the mouth. The same thing happened with the 3-chocolate cake, a delicacy we made some time ago, which is a hit with our followers. If you fancy a gourmet dessert that is very easy to make, prepare these little glasses of chocolate and mascarpone at home. You will surprise all your guests!

Ingredients for four people:

  • 200g of chocolate to melt
  • 200g mascarpone cheese
  • 100ml cup cream for cooking
  • 100ml glass of milk
  • 50g of butter
  • Four tablespoons of icing sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract

How to make homemade chocolate and mascarpone cheese cups

In a saucepan, put the milk and cream. We heat everything over low heat. While it heats up, put the butter and chocolate in a bowl, all finely chopped. When the milk and cream are about to boil, remove them from the heat and add them to the bowl. Mix with a spoon until the chocolate and butter are completely melted.

Once melted, put a few tablespoons of this mixture in a glass. That occupies more or less a third of this. We repeat the operation with the other cups and put them in the freezer for about 20 minutes or in the fridge for 40. After this time, they will have hardened, and we can continue with the recipe.

While this is happening, we put the mascarpone cheese in a container. Add the icing sugar and the vanilla essence, and mix everything with a fork. Stir until creamy and lump-free. Once this is done, we take the glasses out of the fridge and add a few tablespoons of this mixture until we occupy two-thirds of the glasses.

We add the last layer to the glasses of chocolate and mascarpone. Finally, we put a last layer of chocolate until the glass is filled. If the chocolate in the bowl has hardened, you can heat it in a bain-marie or the microwave, being careful not to burn it. Let it cool again in the fridge. After a few minutes, we decorate it with cream or red fruits. Ready to serve!

As you can see, preparing these little glasses of chocolate and mascarpone is not difficult at all. The only somewhat heavy part is waiting for the chocolate to harden. But the result is worth it. Dare to make them at home!
